It was several months that we hadn’t met Andrew Gregson. We met him again on the opening day of the shooting of Kuey-Ma-Ri-Can. He was very cooperative with the journalists because Pin – Nattanan Chaweewong, the producer had arranged the interview for us prior to that day.
Who said Andrew had changed, I never believed it. He is still the same to me. Read it up.
I adore him so much because he's being himself. Here’s the interview. I cannot guarantee if you are going to learn more about him though.
Q: Kuey Ma Ri Can. Does it sound like fun?
A: I think it is going to be fun depending on the scripts I think. I read and it’s like making fun of Thai people who cannot speak Thai clearly. It’s like picking a small point and enlarging it. I don’t know. Some might not like it, but that’s intentional. It’s for entertaining purposes.
Q: Any other interesting scripts you came across?
A: Not 100%, but similar to what I think I like but I’m not able to take it because of some limitations. It’s usually a combination of many reasons.
Q: Limitations?
A: Depending on the situation, each one is different. Everybody chooses. Nobody doesn’t choose.
Q: Do you have a pretty high standard in choosing your work?
A: Does that mean everybody else has lower standards? I don’t think so. It depends. Some we might have to talk it over more than the others.
Q: The role must be very good in order for you to take it.
A: I cannot tell you. Please don’t try to make me specify the criteria. Let’s say. You talk to an architect who gave you a plan of your house. You have to consider many factors. Each house is different. It’s not that this same house is going to work for everybody. Every customer has different preferences.
Q: What do you do in your free time?
A:Before the set, I do read scripts, watch movies, eat, etc. We just happen to not see each other. You might be seeing other people where you go or I go to the same place you go when you are not there. I don’t know.
Q: You live a normal live?
A: I think so, not sure. I don’t have live my life differently.
Q: Do you think of other things besides work?
A: What do you think? Could you tell me? I think probably similar to what you think.
Q: You still have a very private life as before?
A: That’s what people said. You will have to ask them. I never said I have a very private life. I don’t know if it’s very private or normal.
Q: You are not approachable, but actually you are?
A: Maybe.
Q: Because you are different from the others?
A: Ask that to yourself. Am I different?
Q:In your opinion?
A: You still have to ask the other people.
Q: You were pretty easy going, easy to laugh, but now…
A: I don’t know what to say. It’s not related to work. Work is work. I have been this way forever.
Q: Have you changed?
A: In what sense? If it’s about how I choose work, no. I have been using this way to choose work from the beginning. In the past, there was a person who did the work for me. P’ Pod Arnond took care of me. He was actually more serious than me. P’ Tukta also used to be in this position as well.
Q: About your personality or behavior.
A: I don’t know. You will have to ask people who saw me prior to now. Maybe I am different now because I was just a child before and more playful. I don’t really know.
Q: Got a girlfriend?
A: No, if I do I will let you know.
Q: What is your type?
A: I saw a news article, I should not talk about it because it might look like I’m blaming them. I don’t know how they came up with such story. Really, I still don’t have one. My specs? Anything really. Sometimes at first I don’t like, but after talking for a while, I do. I cannot tell. It might start out from the looks or not or as friend or not.
Q: Would you like to have a family?
A: Are we now talking about having a family? We just talked about girlfriend now. Not yet. Not yet.
