Fulfilled his soul with happiness

The sunset atmosphere by Hua Hin beachside today is another moment that we, Suk Kai Sabai Jai team, will have to remember for a long time. That's because we had the chance to sit down and talk to one of the most famous and secretive lead actors in the business.
After driving from Bangkok and working hard in the sun, and having to race with the time, finally we got a nice set of pictures of the handsome Andrew Gregson being himself. We and Andrew were very tired by the end of the day.

Regardless, everybody gave the happiness full score 100 for the work accomplished today. This is because we had the opportunity to get to know our model personally and also the professional side of him. We were also very happy mentally after conversing with him about his inner self, love and his faith that fulfill his soul with happiness. It’s the happiness that we can learn….now

Q: Almost 20 years in the business. You are still a lead actor.

A: Because God still wants me to be. In the Bible, we plant seeds, trees, water them and care of them, but if God doesn’t want them to grow, they will not grow. If it is the will of God then even if it’s in a desert, it will grow. Similarly, I feel that God still wants me to be in this business, so here I am. God blesses me with my work. Many times, I wondered why I am still here with the personality I have. But He allows me to do this. Thank you God.

Initially, I was not yet in TV dramas. I was in commercials and modeling and a few movies. During those times, I didn’t know what real work was like. Similarly, I didn’t know what it was like to study hard. Everybody said you need to pay attention and study. I didn’t know what it was like. I didn’t really know. But I know I had to go to school, study like the others. Growing up, I didn't know what I wanted to do either. I studied along without knowing what to do. Sometimes I answered something that would sound good and acceptable at the time.

Q: You never thought of getting into this business?

A: When people asked, what I wanted to do when I grew up. I thought about it, but I didn’t have the answer in my head. Then I got into the entertainment business. I didn’t think of it a whole lot. When I saw famous actors or politicians, I thought they looked good because I only looked at one aspect of their success. I didn’t know why I got into this business. Like in commercials shooting, they said to run, I ran. I paid attention to what they asked me to do. That was my definition of work. Do what they said. When I was a child, I was stubborn at times because I didn’t understand why we have to do certain things. Over time, I felt that I needed to focus because everybody else who focuses on their work produced good work. So, that’s when I started to be serious about work. And that’s after being in about 4-5 movies. In the end, I have to thank God because that’s when I came to know God.

Q: Your faith in God and being a good Christian.

(laughing) Not a good one. I’m still as sinful, but I have come to the realization and God forgives me. After reading the bible, I felt that everybody has an empty space in our heart.

The fact is that God created human to live and love him. If we are away from God, we will need to find happiness on our own. We will use our own ability to find it and don’t care for anything else.

Look around us. The sky, nature, and the sun. TThey witnessed how mighty God is. Can we answer why we are human and have everything (food and so on) just the way we need? But we still care less about that fact.
As human beings, if we are away from God, we will be enticed by something that hates God. These days, we have been enticed by many material things. Some are enticed by sexual desire, power, or money. What kind of people do we respect? Whoever has money? Whoever has knowledge because they graduated with higher degree and that look good? Whoever has power? These days we only talk about benefits, and power that look conceptually good and Grande and we want to be just like that. We value other things besides God even though we may know who is behind all these, but we don’t admit it.

Sometimes when we’re alone, we might want to do something bad, or contemplating doing something bad thinking that nobody knows or sees. But if we know there’s someone overlooking us. What do we do? When we want to do something evil, the first time it might be the hardest and the most embarrassing. By doing it often, we start to get used to doing it. We start to push God away and eventually depart from Him, start to respect spirits, trees even though everything is what God created.
We don’t care about the creator, but the materials He created. In the Bible, it says everything under the sky, the sun, the moon, the trees and even the sacred images that were created with our own hands, God created them. We still worship idols. In the end, we depart from God.

From the beginning of time, are there anybody who are powerful, most knowledgeable, smartest, wealthiest, can survive forever? We like to say we’re afraid of being put in hell. We do whatever it takes to find something to hold onto. If there’s any saint, famous icons, we would go to seek for them because deep down, we are looking for a way out, a wrong way out.

Actually, I don’t want to use the word something to hold onto. It’s more like a space that God left for us, but we use it for something else. Some people walk into the woods saw a beautiful branch, saw nice rocks and collect them home because they would give us luck. They start to make them sacred. We are doing the wrong things. I’m not saying that I’m sinless, but I am conscious of what I do and always ask for God’s forgiveness.

These days , what sins are we doing? We have affairs, steal and cheat. We want to have someone else’s stuff. In the end, we kill each other. The sin is stemmed from anger, jealously, ambition or the desire to be powerful.

Those are the force to do bad things. Deep down, we’re looking for a way out. Everybody knows God, but we don’t want to walk his way. We turn away from Him.

I talked to many people comparing our lives to white shirts. From baby to childhood to adult, we start out doing little bad things like lying. It’s like something got thrown on to a white shirt. Later we do worse sin. The stain got bigger and more concentrated. Some slipped and did something really bad from the get-go and the stain started out big. The stain on a white shirt represents the sin we each committed.

We don’t have to look very far. By the time I became a teenager, do I have any white space left on the shirt? I must say, none. Who says there’s white left, I would like to meet that person. Those sins eat us alive and follow us without us knowing about them. Whoever is conscious about their sins would go back home and cross their arms on their foreheads thinking about them. A sin might come in different forms: sadness, or discouragement.

Some didn’t do anything wrong, but suffer from the sin their parents have committed. Parents may have sex and didn’t intend to have kids or drunk or got rape. Some didn’t want the kid and got an abortion, but the kid happened to survive but handicapped. The kids have to suffer everyday as the outcome from the behavior caused by their parents. Kids are supposed to get used to this, but in fact they are not and try to look for a way out.
We try to look for something like a religion that would work with our lives conveniently or saints with for different purposes. If you want to have power, you have to be worshipping this. If you are a womanizer, you need to worship that. There are many saints I can’t say it all. But think about it, do they want to help us really? Normally it’s just the lip service like a shell and it wants us to be pulled into something else. The day we realize is the day we're about to lose the most valuable thing. The day we are about to die and it’s too late to do anything. What we worship doesn’t love us. That’s the truth.
Later we look for a way out and everybody has different methods. Whatever works for the time being is it. I’m going to use the word “fast-food”. Fast-food happiness. In reality, we still are not happy, but instant gratification works for the time being.

We are also forgetful. When we go home, we drink and forget. We drink or are out and about or do whatever to fulfill physical happiness. It’s like wrapping a fire in our heart. Some really went through a lot and couldn’t take it anymore and committed suicide. Or they are not yet to the point of committing suicide, but went on hurting others or hurting themselves. Some are able to carry on and put up with it but the same stuff will keep coming up. Or maybe the fire might be bigger because we are not putting it out. But we simply avoid it. Some couldn’t calm down and couldn’t find a way out either.

So, we need to live life like this and think this is life. Everybody reading this probably understands the whole concept. I’m talking for so long, but the essence of it is short. What do we need to do? Just work, and live and want to do what we like doing.

Some play sports, games, or remote controlled cars. Some spend times for other. Those are just temporary happiness.. You will eventually have to find new ones. Even if it’s our profession, we still get bored. We will have to find a new profession to fulfill our desire. OK everybody needs to work. That’s true, but we can’t answer ourselves, deep down what gives us the true happiness.
Everybody wants to balance good and bad in them. Some are sad to the point of desperation. That’s not the way to live our lives, but that’s called avoiding and not admitting and a quitter. Some couldn’t free themselves from it and decide to live their lives like this. I have seen many who have found a dead-end in their lives and with our human brain, we can’t figure out. In the end, we need to find God. And God will lead us out from those things which we can’t do on our own. It’s a miracle that happens on the daily basis.
God wants us to walk his way. It’s the blessed and straight way. God warns us: Don’t come this way, it’s all downhill from here. What you do is what you get (You reap what you sow). Everybody sins. Whoever wants to argue, I don’t mind, but I’d like to ask you. Do you have true happiness? Is money the answer? Is power the answer? Is having a lot of servants the answer?


Q: Do you have sins to confess?

A: Yes (laughing) Like someone cut me off while driving, I was still panicking and mad. But God says to forgive. Someone robs your scarf from you, you need to give him the clothes as well. Someone asks for money that we do have, but we don’t want to give him, that’s wrong. We need to forgive. I’m not doing this to make me happy, but I truly think it’s the way God wants me to live.

Some hold on to the anger and never forgive for their whole lives. What is forgiveness? For example. A friend borrowed 50,000 and, he said he was going to return it on a certain date. When it was the time, he didn’t return. What are we going to do? First, we might say he is a friend, we let it go a couple of days. Then, we start calling. The friend is embarrassed. He doesn’t have any to return regardless because he’s in trouble so he dared not to face you. First, he might still pick up the phone. Later he started to not picking up the phone. When you saw that happened, you started to track him down and when you saw his face, he said he didn't have any. You heard that and you said that was an easy way out. Or you met him in public, the debtor might get pulled on the collar by you. You no longer honor him as a friend. Some fought or ended up saying. Never mind. I would think it is for a dog. Is that forgiving?
Next time, when you see each other, are you going to smile at him? Will you greet him like before? No, we’re not going to. This is looking down on him. If we forgive, we need to consider him the same way. We still should be able to hug one other, from our hearts. Forgiving really comes from the heart. I can do that. It’s something I’m very proud of myself. However, it doesn’t mean that whoever makes me mad now will get forgiveness from me right away. It’s something I strive to do well at.

We have committed so much sin. When we sin we still say it’s okay because everybody else does it too. There’s black and white, we’ll do grey. We lie to ourselves that it’s okay because grey is much close to white or because it is necessary. When it gets greyer, friends might say that’s not good, don’t do it, but we’ll keep doing it because everybody does it. If you don’t take it, you are stupid. This world has taught us that there’s no point in doing good things. Bad guys get benefits. Therefore sinning happens because we don’t listen to Him.

When we don’t listen to God, in the Bible, it is referred as the last days. The concept of it is like the world is going to explode. I’m not saying that God said it’s going to explode. People are trying to figure out when it's going to happen. God said nobody knows. It’s like a robber is going to rob your house, you are not going to know when. Once it happens, what are we going to do? We’ll beg and it will be too late. God has already warn you and God gave you the freedom to choose, but we chose the fast-food way and the enticement in front of us. It’s hard to refuse. Some are obsessed with money and even think money is their God.


Q: Doing good or bad...you know in your heart.

A: Yes. God looks at our hearts. Regardless of what we wear, how we talk, but if we think badly, there's no point. God judges us from what’s in our hearts not because we're rich or poor, being beggar or wealthy men. If we do well, God knows. Satan knows our weaknesses better than ourselves. Everybody has different weaknesses. Some are married, but if there’s a girl in front of them, they’ll think of the consequences later.

Look at the society these days, we are married and divorced how many times? I understand everybody has reasons, but we’re going to do grey. I think it’s wrong. God said go back to love each other. Forgive each other. It’s hard to forgive each other when the other slipped. Finally, the kids suffer. Even though you don’t fight in front of the kids, they know. They know since they were in the womb. Some only care about making money for the kids. When the kids grow up, you got so much money, but they now don’t care about you. Every day, could I have some money? Some are not happy so they have to go out and be with their friends, which is not the same because the responsibility is for parents. Finally, each one grows up differently.


Q: The true happiness that you found.

A: Whoever found God will know what true happiness is. I found God. But I’m also happy being in lakorns because I believe that it’s something God wants me to do. Whenever I run into people and they said they like my lakorns, I am very happy. I thank God for giving me today.
Working is good. We have to work, but we need to find a medium ground. In our society, we like to be accepted. Acceptance comes from driving certain cars, wearing certain watches, studying in certain schools and be in certain circles of friends. That’s acceptance. I understand that is the stability in life. In reality if you think about it, it’s wrong. That is why..

...I talk to God often. Everybody has different weak spots. I do have weak spots. But living a Christian life is relatively easy. Don’t stay away from Him, or away from Bible. Go to church on Sundays. Don’t stay away from fellow Christians, pray and confess if we do something wrong and we need to confess. God looks at our truthfulness, honesty, and sincerity. Straight talk. We’ll be forgiven and every problem has a solution.

Q: Have you been disappointed by love?


Yes (laughing) I used to have a girlfriend, but now I have none. Once I wanted to have a family. During those times, I really wanted to. But I passed that point and I think this thought occurs to everybody, wanting to have the one who understands you. Or if we have a girlfriend, we need to seek and hurry up and use your head and your eyes to see which one is the right one. Do you believe that soon it will bring disappointment because we didn’t wait, instead we spear headed to it. Some we like already have another boyfriend. These days I believe if you want to have a girlfriend, tell God and listen to what God tells you. We’ll get more than we asked for. We might imagine what kind, specs, God will give us better than that for sure.


Q: Have you ever read Suk Kai Sabai Jai?

A: Yes. When the magazine contacted me, I went out and bought it. I wanted to know what it’s like before deciding to work with the team.


Q: You don't accept a job easily. Why did you want to be on the covers of Suk Kai Sabai Jai?

A: It looked like I’m very easy (laughing), aren't I? Many reasons. I read the whole thing, but what I like most is the slogan of the magazine “ the magazine that makes you happy .. now”. Especially the word “now". It hits my soft spot. I believe in God and want to share how everybody can find the happiness now.


Q: What’s the worse sickness?

Q: When I was in Mongkut Sangjun in Chiangmai. My body went wild. It was like I was going to die there. That day they needed to stop the production and waited for me. I felt so bad. I tried to get up, but P’ too said no, I needed to sleep. And he brought in a doctor and the doctor gave me an injection of some kind. Until now, I still don’t know what I had (laughing).


Q: How do you care for yourself?

A: Mainly, sleeping. Not sleeping during the day. It’s sleeping 8 hours a day. Going to sleep on time. Eat moderately. Eating is happiness, but needs to be done moderately and not luxuriously. Exercise and work. I give 8 out of 10 for my health (laughing). If I give more you would think I’m obsessed with myself. But I know when I feel good or bad. I take care of myself.

Q: Message for fan club.

I need to thank everybody who like my work and thank God for giving me you guys. You all have encouraged me to continue working and ready to share my with happiness. I want to tell everybody from my heart that I’m happy to have you. God bless you.
